Welcome to Our Community Outreach Program

We are delighted to welcome you to our community outreach program at Roots Explosion Arts. In addition to our weekly programs at our center, we also host a monthly community program. This program allows us to engage in a variety of activities in one day and brings together the youth in our community.
For us, this is a great opportunity as it enables us to connect with the youth and create a positive impact. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for the young members of our community to come together and participate in various enriching activities. We look forward to continually expanding our outreach and creating meaningful experiences for the youth in our community.

During our outreach, a German primary 4 class raised 450€, allowing us to feed 100+ street children for over a month.

Community Outreach Program at Roots Explosion Arts

At Roots Explosion Arts, our community outreach program plays a key role in our mission, engaging Kampala's street youth, providing counseling, promoting hygiene, and addressing their essential needs. We recognize the significance of reaching out and addressing their distinctive needs. Many of the youth in our programs face issues like substance abuse, fatigue, hunger, and inadequate clothing, and we're committed to supporting them. We aim to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where youth can find solace, hope, and empowerment.

Since the beginning of 2024, we have been running our monthly community outreach program with great joy, reintroducing various activities that primarily focus on artistic endeavors. Our team, although small and entirely composed of volunteers, is dedicated to dividing their precious time between work commitments and volunteer responsibilities. We are immensely grateful for the efforts of our team in Uganda.

Currently, the community outreach program is wholly funded by our organization, which presents one of the significant challenges we face. This limited budget has slowed our progress in achieving our ambitious goals. However, we are actively developing solutions to secure additional funding for this important initiative. Lincoln and the team have been managing this program for years, establishing a foundation that many children in the community rely upon.

Recently, we launched a materialistic fundraiser that yielded a large number of donations, including skates, clothes, shoes, and more. We are currently working diligently to determine the best method to send all these donation boxes to Uganda, ensuring that everything can be distributed during our upcoming community outreach program.
